Early Pledge Payoff by The RCU Foundation Adds Momentum to Pablo Center Capital Campaign

EAU CLAIRE, WI – Pablo Center is thrilled to announce that The RCU Foundation has once again stepped forward as a key supporter of Pablo Center and the arts in the Greater Chippewa Valley by paying the  remaining balance of their pledge, saving six years of interest payments on current outstanding loans. The total amount saved is around $150,000. This not only moves the needle forward for Pablo Center’s capital campaign which aims to retire the remainder of Eau Claire Confluence Council’s building debt, but it also brings Pablo Center closer to realizing its mission of bringing outreach programming and events, community engagement and educational programming to the Chippewa Valley while being operationally solvent. 

Executive Director Jason Jon Anderson is deeply grateful for their support, saying, “As the visionaries for a revitalized downtown, RCU first built their headquarters in Phoenix Park and then the RCU Foundation became one of the first financial partners in this amazing creative project. I’d like to thank them for setting an incredible example. With the  advance payment of this pledge, they are ensuring Pablo Center’s long-term operational viability by helping to  minimize our interest and principal payments.”  

John Sackett, RCU Foundation Board President said, “The RCU Foundation board realized by paying our pledge in-full six years early, the Pablo Center would recognize a substantial savings of interest payments.  It’s the right thing to do and will benefit the project as a whole.” 

While this is a significant step on the road to fulfilling the goals of Pablo Center’s capital campaign, there is still a need for further support in order to reach both short and long-term fundraising goals.  “We are grateful for the generosity of The RCU Foundation as it will allow us to continue to carry out our mission of providing opportunities for all people to experience all that Pablo Center has to offer,” said Monica Frederick, Director of Development. “With the support of partners like Royal Credit Union and The RCU Foundation, we are confident that we will reach our goal by March 2020.”  

Regarding the future, Anderson says, “This advance completion of their pledge helps us focus on our Possibilities,  Access, and Partnerships.  As we grow our rings of influence, we look forward to nurturing the entire creative economy of the region.”
