Pablo Center at the Confluence operates in support of a mission that is focused on augmenting and developing opportunities to experience the performing, literary and visual arts for people of all ages and backgrounds.

Pablo Center welcomes, connects, inspires, and transforms, motivated by the belief that through art, education, and entertainment we can build stronger communities and a more enlightened world. 

Vision

Pablo Center is a leading force in nurturing art in all its forms. Pablo Center is active outside its main building, supporting events and programs in other locations throughout the region. Pablo Center is financially strong and in a stable financial position, with the resources and reserves necessary to book a variety of talented artists and to make its spaces available to local and regional artists and cultural organizations. Pablo Center achieves this vision with a strong and diverse staff and leadership that allows the organization to stay deeply connected and engaged with the community it serves.

 

VISUAL ARTS

ARTmobile       artmobile

Bringing the arts to children and families around the Chippewa Valley both in-person and online, the ARTmobile’s purpose is to provide free, fun, and relevant art projects with an educational aspect to them. These projects are adaptable, with limited supplies and are intended to bring accessible quick projects that explore a variety of art topics.

GO Paint!      go-painttttt

A 5-day plein air paint festival, Pablo Center’s annual GO Paint! offers a week’s worth of opportunities for artists to create paintings outdoors within a 10-mile radius of the Eau Claire and Chippewa rivers between Augusta, Chippewa Falls, Eau Claire, Durand, and Nelson.

Pablo Presents

Pablo Center's signature lineup of events and exhibits. Ranging from regional, national, and international arts presenters, these hand-curated events include our region's most beloved shows and traditions as well as new voices, revelating stories, and surprising features.

OPEN MIC NIGHT        black

Open Mic Nights at Pablo Center create a space for artists of all mediums to have a place to exhibit their craft. All are welcomed including but not limiting to musicians, comedians, poets, spoken word performers, visual artists, and beyond. Open Mic Night curates a perfect space for a listening room experience. Come and enjoy the art, support the creators, and be apart of an entertaining evening.

Pablo Streams is a free, streaming concert series celebrating our region’s. Musicians and brings audiences a collective mix of old favorites and exciting new guests. Pablo Streams has successfully completed a  Summer, Fall, and Spring series during the COVID-19 pandemic and was able to directly pass over $25,000 to local and regional artists who’ve played on our virtual stage.

Community

Robotics

Pablo Center provides a space for students to grow through educational clubs and workshops like FIRST Robotics Competition, Lego League, and other STEAM progams. These workshops help to increase opportunities for youth to explore skills and challenge themselves with science and technology.

Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival 

Wisconsin Shakespeare Festival believes in the power of words and story telling. Pablo Center celebrates the brilliant power that Theatre provides through empowering and inspiring artists, as well as enlightening and connecting audiences across communities. 

PARTNER ART GROUPS

Eau Claire was an arts town long before Pablo Center rose at the Confluence, thanks in no small part to the passion of our Constituent Arts Groups. From theatre and classical music to jazz, choral music, literary and visual arts – they represent the best of the Chippewa Valley. Local partners and nonprofit arts groups are vital to Pablo Center and its mission, and we are thrilled to support and celebrate their extraordinary work.

We acknowledge that Pablo Center at the Confluence occupies the sacred and ancestral lands of Indigenous Peoples. We honor the land of the Ojibwe and Dakota Nations.

Inclusivity Statement

Pablo Center at the Confluence will not reamin silent when what the community needs is for its local oranizations to represent them. Pablo Center at the Confluence, while listening to and learning from the community, pledges to:

  • Address structural and historical inequities in the arts.
  • Identify and address implicit biases and practices throught the organizational structure of Pablo Center.
  • Respond to the events of our time that test relationships within the community through dialogue, educational and artistic programming, and care.

Our first act towards this pledge is the creation of the Committee for Inclusive and Just Engagement and Practices, which is dedicated to the resolution of issues and the creation of opportunities related to social justice.
